MOBILE MEDICAL SERVICE (MMS)

Agent for Social Change is working Mobile Medical Service at Kamjong District of Manipur where hard to reach (Villages) of medical services due to hills regions, poor road communication, poor infrastructure development and International Border to Burma / Myanmar to provide of Health Care Check Up, Treatment and Reference Services.

Project Areas: Mobile Medical Services targeted 132 Tribal Villages of International Border inhabited Tribal Population of Kamjong district of Manipur.

Details of Geographical Location, Longitude & Latitude and Distance from State Capital, Imphal
Kamjong District is a Border district of Manipur, Geographically very remote and hard to
reach area with 7 (seven) ranges of Hills. Major population is inhabited by Tangkhul tribe
in and around international border of Myanmar (Burma). It is distances about 116.6 km from
state capital Imphal and Its Latitude is 24.7474°N & Longitude: 94.3154° E.
Total Number of Population and Villages:
Total Population of Kamjong District population is 59,887 (out of said population, Male
population is 30,870 and Female populations is 29,017) as per population counting of 2020 and
total No. of 132 Scattered Villages in the district:
In last three years difficulties from diseases:
Kamjong district has facing different diseases like Malaria, Unknown diseases like viral fever,
Cold, Diarrheas, Flues, Dysentery, and COVID.
Objective of Project:
1. i. To organize regular health awareness program and to provide regular MOBILE MEDICAL SERVICES is to provide of Health Care and Treatment Services to maintain of health care and hygiene to the population of Kamjong District where hard to reach of medical facilities. To take care of children, pregnant women, girls and senior citizens from Cold, Diarrheas, Flue, Dysentery, viral fevers, seasonal diseases, tropical diseases and contagious / infectious diseases. This programe will be done by Communication and Coordination of District Administration and District Health Officer (Chief Medical Officer / CMO).
2. TFR of Kamjong district is 3.3 to where state TFR is 2.17. So we targeted to reduce of TFR of Kamjong district from 3.3 to 2 to 2.17.
3. In case of 1st trimester registration among pregnant women are found only 36 % so we targeted to increase 1st trimester registration of pregnant women from 36 % to 70% by giving Awareness, sensitization and health care check up of village Pregnant women.
4. In case of pW given Td2 + Td Booster is found only 57.8 % . So we targeted to increase pW given Td2 + Td Booster from 57.8 % to 80% by giving Awareness, sensitization and health care check up of village children and population.
5. In case of Institutional Delivery we found delivery report only 29.4% . And now we targeted to increase institutional delivery from 29.4% to 70% by giving Awareness, sensitization and health care check up of village Pregnant women.
6. To provide services of Communicable Diseases and Non Communicable diseases, RCH, to population of Kamjong district of Manipur
7. Care Diagnosis: Blood Glucose, Pregnant testing, Urine microscopic, album & sugar, Hb, Height / weight, Vision testing, RDT. IEC for communicable & Non communicable diseases, Diabetes, Hypertension and Epilepsy & Sputum Sample.

Targeted Services Provide (Health Care Services):

Maternal Health, Neo Natal and Infant Health (0-1 Year old), Children and Adolescent Health, Reproductive health and contraceptive services, Management of Chronic communicable diseases, Management of Common Communicable diseases & basic OPD care (acute simple illness), Management of Common Non Communicable diseases, Management of Mental illness, Dental Care / ENT care, Geriatric care and Emergency Medicine.
